Me, Myself and I

Left to right: Cameron, Courtney,
 myself and Cassidy (June 2013)
Hi my name is Kayleen Anusevitch and I currently live in Malden, but I used to live in many different places, such as, Woburn, Massachusetts and many cities in Florida. I am the oldest of my three siblings and the first one in my family to go to college! I am studying education in hopes of becoming my own teacher one day. I like to consider myself a very easy going, passionate and open person. I never judge a book by its cover and I am a firm believer in the golden rule, "treat others the way you want to be treated".

My Friends and I at a Bruins
Game on St. Patty's Day (March 2015)

During the months of late September to early April you will find me in front of my TV watching every single Boston Bruin game. I am a true, bleed black and gold Bruins fan. Not one of those "oh my god he's so hot" bandwagon fan! I never did play ice hockey, I wish I did. When I went to my first hockey game back in 2010 I instantly fell in love, the crowd chanting "Let's Go Bruins". The quickness of the players feet skating up and down the ice was mesmerizing I never wanted to leave the TD Garden. Besides my love for hockey, I also enjoy spending my time volunteering at the James L. Mckeown Boys and Girls Club of Woburn. I spent all of my time at "the club" from middle school till the day I graduated high school. I give back to the club for all of the things they have given me to help me grow into the successful and thoughtful adult that I am today.
In this picture is my boys and girls club family.
This picture is from when I received the highest award
that they give out each year, which is the "Youth of the Year" Award.
This award is given to someone who best represents what the
club is all about which is giving back to others, a great role model for
the children and goes above and beyond everything that they do.

I have many goals that I would like to achieve in my lifetime. I believe that it is very important to have short term and long term goals.Sometimes you can lose sight of your long term goals and quickly forget why you made them in the first place. That is why you should always make short term goals to help you stay focused and keep on the right track. One of my short term goals for this year is to achieve and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher this term. A long term goal that is effected by that short term goal is that I wish to transfer to a 4 year college after my two years at Bunker Hill and in order to transfer schools I feel that it is most helpful if you have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Another short term goal that I set for myself is to go above and beyond as a lead teacher at work at the after school program. A long term goal that will be the outcome of me being successful with that short term goal is to get a promotion and become the site coordinator at my job.

I hope after reading this blog you understand me and the way I live my life, as a passionate and caring person. Always remember, "Be who you are and say what you feel, Because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind" -Dr.Seuss

  1. Hi Kayleen,

Great introduction. Excellent work on your first blog: it is well written, well organized, and it has a great design. Way to go - figuring out how to add captions to your pictures. That effort goes a long way into designing a professional, "magazine quality" post.

Your intro is good, and it sounds like you have your educational goals set before you. Congrats on being the first in your family to attend college!

Keep up the effort, and you will do exceptionally well in this class. I look forward to reading your op-eds on politics and culture.

My only suggestions would be to proof read (there are a few minor grammar errors) your writing before posting and to always include lots of details. You did well here, but always keep that in mind.
